This page is dedicated to my great dog, Mina. AKA Shovelhead, AKA PaleFace, AKA Hereford, AKA Loco, AKA BBD, AKA Mirl.
She's an American Pit Bull Terrier and one of the greatest dogs I've ever had. She's defended my life and our home on
several occassions, yet is gentle and friendly with children and other dogs.
Mina is a lover of life and she shines with a happiness that can't be mistaken. Whether she's rolling around on her back
in the grass or just basking in the sun enjoying a beautiful day, this dog radiates a love that everyone who knows her has
felt.
Mina is about 8 years old now and from a lifetime of jumping 7-ft cinderblock walls, rock climbing all over Arizona and
just generally living with the "pedal-to-the-metal" all the time she's now suffering from a suspected ruptured disc in her
spine. She needs a back surgery, but it's $5,000.00 and I just don't have it. So I'm asking for donations to help with the
cost of this beautiful dog's operation. She has a lot of puppy left in her and with this surgery (which the vet says could
restore up to 90% of the functionality in her back and hind legs) she could enjoy the next 5 or so years in comfort and mobility.
